I don't think they would make a huge error like that, not Joe Tessitore anyway, he seems pretty accurate.

No ****, what was the other time? You said twice??

He had a torn rotator cuff, but he should have finished the fight.

You need to learn how to read, I said Vitali is more known for his two losses rather than any of his wins, its true, and name one elite fighter that Vitali has beat.....
atleast Peter has Toney on his resume and that name sticks out more than the list of tomato cans that Vitali has beat.

This is exactly what you said, ONE Blemish, I was simply reminding you about the other one. Obviously your panties get wet at the thought of VK.

The Heavyweight James Toney has NEVER been an elite fighter. His best win at Heavyweight is old Holyfield. The guy has 2 steroid suspensions and has come into fights with a gut hanging over his trunks.

He was an elite HW fighter from his very debut...and the only figher to defeat him at HW is WBC World Champ Sam Peter. You constantly harp on his weight and medical issues, which have some basis in reality...but this is BS, Toney is elite.

Any other athlete in any other sport gets a torn rotator cuff and they are off to the hospital ASAP. Can you imagine an NFL, NBA or MLB player staying in a game with a torn rotator cuff? :patsch

Quiting on your stool without an injury forcing you to do so is much different and shows lack of heart for example Brewster quiting against Wlad or Tyson quiting against the Great Kevin McBride.

Lets take a look at James Toney's record at Heavyweight:

3 wins (Holyfield, Booker , Guinn)

    2 Losses (Peter)

3 No Contests (Ruiz, Batchelder, Rahman) Two of which were for testing positive for anabolic steriods

    1 Draw (Rahman)

That is a very mediocre record at Heavyweight yet you say Toney is elite at Heavyweight?:nono

    Laughable.

Toney is better on your resume than Corrie Sanders, Kirk Johnson, and Danny Williams?

James Toney's record at heavyweight is abysmal. He tested positive for steroids twice, 4 wins, 2 losses, 2 no contests, and a draw.

Let's just forget that James schooled Ruiz, and that no fighter has beat him at HW other than Sam Peter...then your argument might hold water.

    Toney is elite.

While Toney might be an ATG, I have to agree that his work at HW is not what made him that. Put Toney's record on any other HW and you would not call him elite.

His work in the other divisions are his real accomplishments

He started at the elite level against Evander, and his last fight was against Rahman. He is elite.

The fact that he competed at the elite level prior to becoming a HW, doesn't change the fact that he's been competing at the elite level and still is.
