Whats James Toneys over all record and how many titles has he won? and how many divisions has he won them in? Be real. Toney is better than Corrie Sanders, Better than Danny Williams what the **** has Danny williams done anyways? and dont bring Kirk Johnson into this he got his ass beat by John ****ing Ruiz. Get out of here, and you have the nerve to have BoxingGuru as your user name:-(
The Fat **** is not in shape. Not that it would make a difference in the result. Bottom line ---- he cant beat Vitali. He knows it and he knows that he is in for a good beating. Plus --- he looses his title. No more --- "Who's NEX".
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl I should have highlighted Sanders too to be honest, seeing as he was 40 years old or something when he fought VITLAY. I'm not saying Toney is a great heavy or anything but he is a great fighter without a shadow of a doubt - and VITLAY has never beaten a great fighter.
Still can't find a single article confirming this. If this is true at least a link or two will be out already, looks like it's nothing but a rumor or a mistake.
I think Vitali will KO Peter but don't doubt him boxing in the late rounds and winning a UD, it could happen.
You guys are doubting Peter's heart? He never quit in a fight, and never has been accused of quitting in a fight. Rahman's people said the same thing about Vitali not wanting the fight...remember Vitali never fought him, and Rahman waited for almost 2 years before he retired.
Yup, here's Rahman's Open letter to VITKLIT between the 3rd and 4th cancellations... Dear Mr Klitshcko (& fans): I am writing you because it seems that you forgot about me, your mandatory challenger. I must be the most invisible 6 foot 2, 240 pound black man on the planet. You have ducked out on me since April 30, June 18, and July 30 with varying excuses and injuries which I never quite believed existed. You have the nerve to call out another fighter when you have clear and present danger staring you in the face. But that is appropriate, because you better go down the yellow-brick road and get a heart before you step in the ring with me. I am an extremely credible opponent, so I assume that your constant avoidance of anything regarding the name Rahman is a very smart tactic. I understand that you are a doctor and an extremely intelligent man. However, you are undermining your credibility as a boxing Champion by these constant duck tactics that you are employing by not fighting me. You are decreasing your fan base and causing doubt to appear in the hearts of your most ardent supporters. How can you use words like 'courage', 'heart', and 'champion' when referring to yourself when you have been ducking me like a yellow-bellied coward for almost a year? Boxing and its fans need an active Champion who is willing to fight credible opponents. I think that it is hilarious that some consider you a Champion and the man to beat when you are scared to face me. Stop misrepresenting the heavyweight division, let alone the WBC championship. Boxing deserves better than what you are giving it. Stop cheating yourself. Stop cheating the fans. Most of all, stop cheating me. Now I am all for heavyweight unification, as is my promotor. Now you are suddenly able to fight in September? We can fight in August if you like. Just know that I plan on hitting you harder than you have ever been hit in your life. And I promise that you will taste the canvass for the first time in your professional boxing career. And Don King will not ask for ANY OPTIONS!! None, so you dont have any other excuses. I am ready to take back what belongs to me. And I cant wait to win over your fans and supporters because they seem to be very supportive of you. Imagine how much they will appreciate a champion that is active and not afraid to fight anyone. Well, I am ready now. Are you willing to hop in the ring with me? If not, don't issue anymore press releases until you are ready to be a man. But as is your history regarding Rahman, I expect for you to act like this letter is invisible as well. Hasim Rahman
Good post. I don't doubt Vitali's heart, as he can fight, but this is a cold hard fact that you could very much perceive that Vitali did not want to fight Rahman. I thought Vitali could beat Rahman, but Vitali refused to fight him on at least 3 occassions whatever the excuse is.
Serious injuries left him inactive for 4 years, don't think he would have left for that long if the injuries weren't serious enough.
When a fighter has many documented experiences under a knife...especially when they involve knee and back issues...only a fool would question his heart or character.
Really? Please explain. Not being sarcastic at all. I am also a fan of the Rock's as he chin checked Lennox whom (though I admire and admit his greatness) I don't much like...but it seems absurd to to me that Vitali should be intimidated by any fighter.
If I were Sam Peter, I would pull out of this fight. Make an excuse, whatever. The knee could be the best way out for Jumbo Fries Sammy. Unless 1) Vitali is hurt in training or 2) Vitali suffers a fluke injury in the ring (Byrd, Lewis), Peter will be destroyed, utterly, by the elder Klitschko. If Peter's promoters want any future for the fat Nigerian in terms of genuine marketability, they better not have him get his ass kicked by Vitali. If Peter gets in the ring against Vitali, he could end up as much a joke as this guy: This content is protected (Rah-fraud ktF out da ring by Maskaev) Not what you want to have happen if you expect to be taken seriously as a HW contender.
Fair enough. This content is protected God, how did Rah-fraud ever whip Lenny's ass? What a joke. And with ONE PUNCH, for God's sakes. Len: Big man, small chin.
