Derek Bryant vs. Taurus Sykes after some good rounds of sparring and exchanges derek bryant then released an uppercut on to sykes jaw. making him drop to his knees. sykes though he did get up was totally out on his feet. didnt know how to defend himself didnt even know what he was doing there. the bell rings and sykes corner talk to him "are you alright" to which he just gives a smile. 4th round he walks out and get bundles to the canvas then gets up and whacked with a huge right hand. falling out the ring........then gets up and walks around the ring:huh :huh :huh :huh :huh aimlessly staring at the crowd smiling like he is doing a ring entrance :blood
George Foreman v Gerry Cooney. The final punch was great, Foreman threw the uppercut as he was walking past Cooney, and looked so nonchalant as he nearly took Cooney's head off.
hearns vs shuler-hearns fell over as he THREW the ko punch&was nearly on the canvas as it landed,at first it looked like a double kd til they showed the replays wen you can clearly see shuler is gone b4 he hit the deck
I think you've got the wrong fight, that never happened in Hearns v Shuler. In fact that fight was over in less than a minute, with Hearns absolutely destroying Black Gold.
Yeah, Campbell shouldn't have been trying to have been trying to pull a Mayorga. I had to laugh the first time I saw that one. I'll agree on the Tyson-Berbick one being the oddest... to this day it never looks like that punch should have that kind of effect. Hell, in half the replays it looks like it misses.
How about that fight in which Alonzo Butler body-slammed his opponent out of the ring and was credited with a knockout win?
Plenty of fighters have dropped their hands and let themselves be hit in a attempt at being macho. Campbell just got hit with an ungodly shot he couldn't soak up.
More like Campbell didn't have the chin to handle it and was standing at a range which was perfect for Peden to throw a full-force left hook. Although they're still impressive displays, when you see guys like Mayorga "ask" for punches, they're at the very end of a guy's range where they're being hit with little more than jabs and straight rights. Those guys are showmen who know what they're doing; Campbell was just truly, bafflingly stupid that night. Though what he's done recently has been impressive, I'm not sure he'll ever live that fight down.
Good example. That's what exhaustion can do to an otherwise durable boxer. McCall was impressive in that bout, considering his age and wear & tear.
Not really KO's but should've been-Norris-Santana I (Santana stayed down to collect the title, wasn't that hurt by it), Humberto Soto's last fight.
Although it wasn't a knockout...Izon - Jefferson was one of the weirdest endings. Jefferson just completely exhausted himself teeing off on Izon's head.
