Floyd started fighting offensively cuz 1...When Shane hit Floyd, Floyd pride forced him to come forward...THEN the commentators talked about how Floyd isnt aggressive, not exciting, doesnt throw enough punches, and also after the Mosley fight, everyone gave Floyd major props for walking him down...So Floyd realized that people liked seeing it, so he decided to do it all the time, and as far as the commentators, I think they inspired Floyd to throw more punches, combinations like he did in the Ortiz fight...in the Mosley fight they accused him of not being mean enough...so against Ortiz, he wanted to be bloodthirsty...There is no such thing as a fighter losing their legs...the older you get, the harder you train...if u do jumpropes with 5 lb ankle weights, and u start slowing down..duh, you just start doing them with 10 lb ankle weights...and people say Ali lost his legs...not true...He was on a layoff, and wasnt training....in the rematch, he was training properly and got it all back....People talk about him losing his legs...I just think he's doing it cuz people accused him of being boring and defensive minded, so he's thinking well I can come forward easily, and THATS going to excite you?..Make you like me more?..Me being aggressive?...I think the media is so stupid sometimes...Floyd is a bullshitter sometimes, but sometimes u just have to listen to him..."Floyd why are you being aggressive"..."I just want to be more exciting and go toe to toe"...media:"What he really meant was he lost his legs"..Im like damn, did he tell u that when u asked him?...LOL

Its NOTHING Marquez could have done....toe to toe, or no toe to toe..LMAO...Floyd was just boxing him the way he normally boxes...NOT because of Marquez, "Countering ability"..LMAO....Floyd is worried about that?...I think not...the fight was a mismatch, in the pocket it would be more damage

Great points...I think if he runs from Martinez, he may lose like he almost did against Oscar...but if he can take away all his weapons in the pocket, Martinez will land less...BUT...Lets not forget..Martinez speed, and his power...this guy can change the world in one secong, with his power....he can be losing a fight, then knock you out...anything can happen in that fight

Yeeeah...35 year old 147/154lb PBF's legs aren't any slower or more leaden than 24 year old 130lb PBF's. Not at all...

Trains too hard...U only lose your legs if you go on a lay off like Ali...I can NEVER see Floyd losing his legs cuz he trains too much...He'd have to be 60 years old for that to happen..LOL

his legs have slowed down. Watch the Baldomir fight. Even at points in the fight when Floyd was trying to press forward, you could notice his feet where a lot quicker.

He could be a cyborg training 22 hours a day, and his human bits would still slow down.

It's gradual, but it happens - and has been happening for many years now.

The difference between Floyd and someone like Cory Spinks or Ivan Calderon is that he can still be effective when his legs start to go. They can't. When they are figuratively legless, they become almost literally crippled in the ring.

I know what your talking about...if you look closely, he almost gatti'd baldy....but what I saw is him getting tired because he was at a higher weight, and he realized that he didnt need to move that quick to win...he could just be boring to win...thats what I got from those first few rounds

I do think you slow down from going up in WEIGHT...But other than that, Floyd will never lose his legs...that **** is mind over matter...Floyd is not even strong enough to back up Ortiz and Mosley...but he is so prideful that he becomes magically able to do those things..lol...I am worried that Floyd might slow down against cotto cuz he's older now.35...if anything, he will lose accuracy

No. :patsch It's called the natural aging process! The body starts to be affected adversely by it before one hits their thirties - even finely tuned athletes!

    That is just medical fact.

I mentioned the legs because I wanted to focus on whether it's a better tactic to walk these guys down. Maybe it still be smarter to put educated pressure onto certain opponents even if Floyd still had his 24 y/o legs.

So you believe Floyd would have done better against those guys had he not use the aggressive style he uses today and been able to use his traditional backfoot ways?

He's just too young to realize this obvious fact. He will when he gets around that age.

I actually think Floyd trains more than the finely tuned athlete ...if he trains with 10lb ankle weights, and he starts losing his legs, then he will just train with 15lb ankle weights...you just gotta train harder...and he training harder than ever...even when Ortiz tried to hit Floyd in the first round, Floyd barely moved, and flew all the way to the other side of the ring, like a wild cat..LOL
