Why would they be better hydrated? Today's fighters have 24 hours to recoup lost fluids. If anything, the opposite is true. Could you translate that into English for me please?
I'm not an evolutionary guy, sorry .... Now, just what in the hell are you trying to say with this post? My thought process regarding these issues needs no additions, mind you
While I doubt I edited anything, one, even both, of the things you mention acts to thwart the urge to eat.
it is possible to build muscle and retain speed. its how one goes about. if a boxer starts training like a bodybuilder doing every body part and group of each muscle. he will slow down no doubt. but if a boxer only does certain parts and exercises he will only gain from it.
I think its naive to think that boxers have not become stronger in the last one hundred years when every other athlete has. Its a romantic notion that the warrior of yesteryear was stronger than the warrior of today. Strength training took a big step forward in the late 50's when the Soviets became serious about winning Olympic medals, they developed things like periodization. Of course it takes a long time for methods to filter through to non strength athletes. Whenever I see a high level athlete doing things like curls, tricep extensions, leg press, I think to myself how could some one at that level not know the basics of strength training. Of course strength does not equal boxing skill, so don't assume that I think modern fighters are superior to past greats.
I'm quite young in reality. Sorry to squash another of your mundane posts. If this was intended as an insult, what makes an younger guy more relevent? Here is a thought, don't write regarding that which you know nothing about. From other posts I've read from you I've gathered you know zero about certain disease processes.. with this one you have shown you also know next to zero about pharmacology. Although, to your credit, there is a reason I wrote next to. Stick with what you know well... when I find what that happens to be, I'll be the first to let you in on it.
This is an interesting variable in fantasy matchups. In the days of the same day weigh in some fighters fought at a weight that they could make without stressing their bodies while some dehydrated themselves as much as the guys today and fought in that state. You could get a big welterweight in todays money fighting a dehydrated light heavyweight.
**** all this lets just keep it simple, this sport is about heart, dedication, and determination. Power is an asset but imagine what the rock would do at cruiser?
