I have an 18yr old, who spars three times a week in the afternoon and run's at night around 6pm. Should he run on sparring days? He does strength and conditioning in the morning at 8am M-W-F, then he spars at 3pm, or 10am or 6pm on those days. He run's sometimes in the morning sometimes at night three days a week. Is this good for an 18yr old, I would appreciate any help you can give, thank you

When does school come into play? Things will have to change in September. No?
THis schedule sounds a bit off, maybe i'm missing something. But this siuggests he might cram all training into three days, strength/spar/run each day. Then do nothing for four days?

Sounds like he's better off spreading it out a bit, like only doing two things for 3 or 4 days a week. Do an easier workout (sparring only, or running only) 1 or 2 days a week, then rest (absolutely no exercise) at least 1 day a week.

I'm not a certifiied trainer, or anything - it just sounds like it's too concentrated on those three days. Sounds like a recipe for burnout, or injury. And not conducive to school & studying.
