Just keep on throwing it making sure you keep good form and the power will start to come.

Like the post above work on it. I used to ignore my jab until I continued to get hit with right hands over the top. I just started using atleast 1 full round at the start of my shadow boxing, double end and heavy bag workouts just focusing on my jab and its technique turning it over, stepping in alittle but never moving that back foot, bringing it back to my chin while keeping the right hand up ETC.

That's weird. The first two things I was taught were to jab and to keep my hands up. Every time I dropped my hands, I was lightly tagged. I also leave a round on the Heavy-Bag for just my jab, since it's the most important punch in boxing. On Topic: The only way to get better at jabbing is to obviously jab :). I mean you get better at running by running, you get better at basketball by playing basketball, and you get better at lifting weights by lifting weights, right?

Yeah, dedicate the first round on the bag to jabbing and moving... I thought that was almost universal, haha.

Think quality over quantity. Don't spend rounds and rounds just fapping away at the bag and just figure the power may come. Focus on what is needed to throw a powerful straight. Practice stepping into it, rotating you body and following with your shoulder and then extending your arm. If you are lacking in one area, divide it into segments and focus on the weak part.
Always be totally concentrated on what you are doing and feel it improving.

HOW A RIGHT HANDER JABS FUNDAMENTALLY ,AS WELL AS A LEFTHANDER FROM THE OPPOSITE SIDE..If you wish to have a good jab ,get in a good stance,a good rythem (steping to and from the target ),while moving left ,right ,forward and backward keeping your head over your right knee. When you execute the jab, start the jab with your left foot and left hand moving toward the target at the same time while pushing off your right foot.Your head should be in the center of your stance when the jab lands ,freeing up the rest of your arcenal. If you wish to Jab more than once, merely repeat in a forward motion, keeping your chin down and stepping pushing off the right foot. The jab should land the same time as the left foot.GOD BLESS....KENNY WELDON

so basically when throwing the jab you should also try that one thing they call boxing right?

thank you for the advice mister :good

Always push hard off your back foot.
And throw the jab from your shoulder.
Its the most important punch in boxing.
If you cant hit the target with your jab, you probably have a much harder time with your other punches.
