Hmm, I'm not training for anything specific just for fitness/health but I do get stiff, probably getting old! So I should use a foam roller more than stretch?
:-(( I found this book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/914364.Relax_Into_Stretch by Pavel Tsouline, im 40 pages in and he wrote overlapping so e of the issues you wrote about. Here link for the book www.itstactical.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/PNFStretching.pdf
Nothing specific to recommend but generally I'd look towards objective sport science texts rather than anecdotal stuff written by the popularists. That's just my personal preference though. :good
How? The man is very well thought of by a THE VERY BEST S&C coaches. You strike me as man who hates weightlifting in all it's forms, ant-man.
Not at all, I lift myself. I just find these guru types incredibly tedious. Not saying their products don't have some worthwhile content but it's not for me. :good
They're really not. They make great athletes even better. You just seem to be one of those guys who is narrow-minded when it comes to this kind of thing, that's all. First it was stretching gives you no benefit (yet you've never done it). Now one of the top coaches in that field is "tedious". Stick to your Bodybuilding workouts. You are clueless about this side of things.
So you spout nonsense... AGAIN. Lol @ putting someone on ignore because they have a different opinion to you. And Lol @ putting Pavel and "bro science" in the same sentence! You utter tool.
Mentioned this before, why stretching is so important. Its because of your dominant side, and the eyes, causing an imbalance in your muscular balance. Understand that youre on the right track.
:think Very interesting. Would you by any chance have/share a link to a resource on this specific point? (from what you said I would guess, based on experience, stretching helps balance out and create awareness between the muscles associated with your dominant and non dominant sides.)
