Of course you shouldn't be able to punch in the throat or rabbit punch, if you allow that then you may aswell allow biting and eye gouging.

Ouch. That was really just an uppercut gone astray, but still what a terrible accidental shot. Could potentially kill someone if hit just right. But I guess that can go with any punch, really.

it wasnt a fluke for him either..he hit multiple guys in the throat..hell i got hit in sparring once with 16 ounce gloves when i was 19....

it shouldnt happen easy, because you should have your chin tucked..but if you get your head knocked back (say a good hard up jab to the forehead) you can than get hit in the throat, (if the guy you are fighting is shorter it is easier as well).

from what i can find it is legal in boxing...Nelson almost got DQ'ed for it once..but that was only because he hit the guy in the throat after the bell.

world class fighter...fought through the 80s and 90s, member of both major hall of fames of boxing...he hit guys in the throat all the time....


he was a smaller fighter..but 8oz is still the smallest gloves he would have used..and again I already said he hit guys in the throat all the time..so i guess that proves logically that i can be done? correct? or are you to stupid to make that connection. :hi:
