    But Coker said their final year was their most profitable. So i'm not sure how much stock id put into this. As the story from the SF board was they were not interested in growing the brand as was Coker who was only a minority share holder. Which was the reason for the sale.

    If they were making money why would SVSE push for the sale? Coker didn't want to sell to the UFC so it can't have been him pushing SVSE to sell to secure more investment.

    Now 2010 was undoubtedly the year they made the most money in terms of overall revenue. But that often isn't the same as profit. Often you can wind up spending a lot of money to make a little more.

    Indeed. But broadly speaking with increased revenue comes increased profit which correlates with what iv read. Anyway i'm not trying to rankle the point but what you're saying isn't what was in the media regarding the deal.

    Thompson is still the best challenge for Melendez in Strikeforce. SF could always bring in Eddie Alvarez for a challenge but there must be something keeping this from happening.

    He's still contracted to Bellator. And the problem is NO ONE wants to fight for Strikeforce any more because they know its career death. The UFC asked BJ to go across but he refused point blank even though he'd have earnt the same as he would for a UFC fight.
