So far, the card is looking like this. Nate Marquardt vs. Tarec Saffiedine Daniel Cormier vs. Dion Staring Josh Barnett vs. Nandor Guelmino Gegard Mousasi vs. Mike Kyle Ed Herman vs. Ronaldo Souza Pat Healy vs. Kurt Holobaugh Roger Gracie vs. Anthony Smith Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Smith Ryan Couture vs. KJ Noons Jorge Gurgel vs. Adriano Martins Michael Bravo vs. Estevan Payan
One of Overeem's training partners or what?!? This is **** is there no one else available?! Larkin at 185 is a very interesting prospect IMO.
Dion is only there so that Cormier can fight someone to honor his contract but i hope its gonna be enjoyable
Mousasi Vs Kyle is great though. If Gegard wins impressively and gets brought over he could be in some interesting fights. Bring Kyle over to fight The Mutton Chop Zombie (if he hasn't been cut already)
Don't get too excited about Mousasi/Kyle. That fight has been set up three times already in the past, and twice Kyle has pulled out, and once Mousasi. It's a notoriously cursed fight, on a card that has thus far been plagued by injuries. But, if it does go down, I see Mousasi taking the submission win. He is better everywhere, and is likely to take the path of least resistance, which would be on the ground. Kyle really only has a punchers chance, and Mousasi has a solid chin, so I don't see the fight going well for him at all, unless the time off and injury has affected Gegard immensely. Of course, nobody is really injured. They just don't want to jeopardize their potential spot in the UFC.
Not bothered with SF anymore. Its become a joke. Trying to keep an organisation going with fighters that should be in the UFC but at the same time the org isn't supposedly on the UFC level was just a stupid concept. A second tier organisation with good but not great fighters battling regularly to make it into the UFC/bigtime made perfect sense. The sooner they wrap it up the better. I want to see Cormier at HW, Rockhold at 185, Marquardt at 170, Melendez at 155 etc They even have contenders like Mousasi that can be absorbed nicely and make up the numbers.
