Really? I'd have to say the better Heavyweight talent pool is in Strikeforce, by far. Fedor, Werdum, Barnett, Big Foot, etc. is miles above Mir, Dos Santos, Nelson, Carwin, Lesnar, Velasquez, etc.

Besides that, Crocop & Nog are done, their better days are well behind them.

Oh yeah sorry...I forgot that this was bizarro world where Rogers is highly ranked, Barnett is relevant and Arlovski has a robust chin

You are correct. As long as the UFC has fans like you to cheer lead geriatrics like Nog and CC. And then remind us of the MMA experience that Dos Santos Cain Carwin and Brock has up against Overeem who has more fights than all of them combined much less for the other vets in SF they'll always be in business.

On what planet is Nog or Cro Cop washed up but Arlovski and Barnett aren't? Nice double standard there.

Oh and I love the two-faced answer there Scru - "all UFC heavyweights are old except the ones that are young but **** them they have no experience"

Your reading comprehension is sorely lacking. You made a comparison. So did i. Quite simple really no...
You mention quite proudly Nog and CC. Its quite evident they're both more shot than swiss cheese.
Then you go on to preach the virtues of Lesnar Dos Santos Cain Carwin all prospects with less fights than Overeem COMBINED. I think the statistics talk for themself.

If that needs to be explained to you then your wasting my time.
Josh hasnt lost since PRIDE folded dam near 5 years ago but you think he's washed up?
And AA has 3 losses in his last 3 fights to Fedor Rogers and BigFoot. All VERY good company and top 10 opponents. Is he physically shot the way CC and Nog are after their wars in PRIDE? Not even close.

Where did I talk proudly about Nog or CC?

All I said was that the UFC could quite easily put together a Heavyweight GP that was better than Strikeforce's. That's it.

When people laughed at Nog and CC, I pointed out that this was idiotic and hypocritical after those same people lost the run of themselves over a tournament involving Josh Barnett (has not fought a ranked fighter since 2006), Arlovski (on a three fight losing streak) and Rogers (a fighter with rudimentary skills, no great athleticism who showed up out of shape against Overeem).

You talk about all the fights Overeem has had, well Overeem has all of one MMA fight this year and has yet to defeat ONE world class fighter at heavyweight. Unless for some reason you wanna count Paul Buentello. Now I could also point out that Overeem has eleven losses in his MMA career but quite frankly given that the last one was over three years ago I don't think that's relevant. How good Overeem is in MMA is a complete unknown and will continue to be until he actually starts fighting real opponents.

Cain Velasquez, Shane Carwin, Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos have all fought a higher level of recent competition than anyone in the Strikeforce tournament other than Werdum. Over the past three years they have all put together genuine winning streaks against solid and ranked fighters. You can't say that about any of the fighters proposed to be in the strikeforce tournament. Not a single one.

Josh hasn't fought anybody of any use since Pride folded.

AA's chin is CLEARLY shot. I'd fancy Nogueira against him...possibly Cro Cop too.

I'm not sure if Nog is shot - he looked good against Randy before getting blitzed by Velasquez. I think we need to see how he performs in his next fight. Cro Cop I think is more mentally shot than anything else - just doesn't have the fire or mean streak needed.

You meander from one point to the next. I dont care wether you think he's opposition is much cop as you say that about EVERY fighter who's outside of the UFC. YOU SAID Josh was shot. Its clearly evident he is not. As for AA's chin being shot more subjective drivel. AA's had a bad chin since he turned pro. Its been clearly evident this is his weak point. But to suggest that he is shot is absurd. Like i said already your wasting my time. You dont even have a point and neither can you stick to the topic.
As for CC and Nog not being shot ... actually i cant even be bothered to waste my time with that one.
