Strikeforce: Lawler vs Shields PPV discussion thread. SPOILERS

Baroni did phenomenal to survive giving his back so many times...made it very close IMO on his much more effective striking....I give Phil the round by a hair.

 

Looked like Riggs punched his head right out of the triangle.....that was close...Baroni again escapes and winds up on top....not enough IMO that round....Riggs round...about even to Riggs slightly ahead thru 2.

 

Color me surprised. This is turning out to be a good-and close-fight.

 

Baroni had nothing left in the 3rd....striking schmorgas board by Riggs He took a ton of punishment there and that was entertaining but also a shame as it was a good fight thru 2. Baroni can take some bad ass punishment and went down swinging....Riggs clear decision win and another good fight. These 2 undercard bouts have been solid...could shape up to a great card if the mains pan out.

 

Great third round. Two decisions...yet I still feel satisfied with these fights. Not a bad card so far.

 

I guess I was the only 1 to give Baroni the 1st round...30-27 x 3

 

Tonight's telecast looks like a tutorial on how to not finish fights that you're dominating.

 

I always like watching Nick Diaz so I expect this card to get even better.

 

They didn't get Gina in the crowd?????
