Alistair Overeem vs. Fabricio Werdum (heavyweight grand-prix opening round)
Josh Barnett vs. Brett Rogers (heavyweight grand-prix opening round)
    Gina Carano vs. Sarah D'Alelio
    Daniel Cormier vs. Jeff Monson
    Chad Griggs vs. Valentijn Overeem

    PRELIMINARY CARD
    Jorge Masvidal vs. K.J. Noons
    Julie Kedzie vs. Amanda Nunes
    Gesias Cavalcante vs. ****** Wilcox
    Magno Almeida vs. Conor Heun
    Mike Bronzoulis vs. Todd Moore*

Dam good card. Griggs for the upset? Be good to see Monson back in action rather than in regional shows.

I wonder where the prelims will end up. Facebook or will Zuffa do a deal with HDNET? Versus? Noons vs Masvidal probably deserves to be on the main card ahead of Valentijn Overeem's fight although I understand he was hired to keep Alistair happy. Would him losing to Griggs be that much of an upset?

Exactly what i thought. Seems somewhat cheeky to see a guy who head lined a recent SF card on a prelim.

And Griggs is essentially a light heavy. Valentijn will be the favourite. But Griggs is a stud. That dude comes to fight and has HEAVY hands. Upset may be too strong a word though. :D

Its actually an example of business not being as usual. The old Strikeforce just booked local independent guys onto the prelims due to the broadcast situation but Zuffa has decided that contracted Strikeforce fighters will now get to fight on the prelims so they can give them more regular matches. No idea how or if they're going to make it pay.

I thought Cormier and SDR were meant to be fighting each other on this card? That would be a great fight.

****, I didn't know that :-(. Hope he recovers and gets back soon, him v Cormier would for me have produced a legitimate heavyweight contender.

Masvidal vs. Noons and JZ vs. Wilcox are definitely main card fights, and I wouldn't mind seeing Kedzie vs. Nunes either.
