This wasn't a UFC main card...but it stunk last night...When going head to head with another promotion, you need to knock it out of the park. Last night Strikeforce did, and the UFC just wasn't good. UFC had ((Again)) good match up's on paper, but didn't live up. To where Strikeforce you could see KO's coming from who was on that card. Didn't think it was going to be like it was.
I was just about to say .... although I wasn't surprised by the outcome of any of the SF fights, the one Big Foot Silva vs Kyle was a good fight while it lasted and it ended dramatically.
I didnt think the UFC was bad there was some quality fights but that Nam Phan robbery would make even the best Pride card look like ****. Strikeforce wasnt really a great card just a ****ing brutal one.
Hopefully Strikeforce can gain a bit more momentum with such a good event last night. Was it free to air in the US?
Is it just me or does anyone else like Strikeforce's "product" and "presentation" more? Just seems more professional and exciting for some reason?
The UFC has been getting stale for a while now. The bad decisions and lackluster European cards dont help either
Last night was pretty clearly in favor of Strikeforce, but it was like comparing a Strikeforce challenger card against a numbered, Vegas UFC.
Lawler is the only reason I even started watching MMA but in small doses though.... cant stand to see them nearly mud wrestle but damn those knock outs last night were brutal all of them Didn't really like the way that they let Lawlers opponent stay down there with no oxygen only to later see him on his stool but folded in half cus he was still out cold.... one thing is for sure the ring doctors had their work cut out for them..... IMO all should have been taken out on stretchers with Oxygen as well.
