Strip Usyk of his belts. He’s too inactive.

You're understanding is wrong. The sticking point was Usyk demanded a rematch clause with 70-30 to the winner. If Fury were to win that there'd be no demand commercially or by hard cores for a rematch so he wanted it scraped. Both as much to blame imo. As for 'another Fury soap opera' look nobody else is fighting top guys at the moment Wilder and Ruiz aren't and Joshua clearly priced himself out.

I'm not sure my understanding is wrong, actually. Usyk wanted 70-30 to the winner on the rematch clause. Fury wanted 70-30 if he won and 50-50 if he lost. Which sounds more reasonable?

As for no one wanting to see a rematch if Fury won, firstly, I think that is a reach, and second, this is the man that signed on for Wilder 3 and Chisora 3.

Yeah, I'm not happy about Wilder v Ruiz not getting over the line. Joshua isn't the champion any more though, so no issue with the Franklin fight. Fury promised everyone he was fighting this early summer, he isn't. Usyk has Dubois (mandatory) in late August.

It’s like the top Heavyweight fighters are all sitting about just waiting to get the call for this mega money Saudi event so nobody is prepared to sign to fight nobody until they know there not getting a slice of this Saudi pie ! The current division is as good as at a standstill,so is this Saudi super event a good thing or actually a bad thing ? Everybody wants to see this event no doubt about that but the flip is that no top Heavyweight fights are happening because of it .

Usyks inactivity over the years prior has been unfortunate for the fans, but if he fulfills his future mandoatory obligations, then he keeps said belt at the time. No requirement for stripping.

I am convinced Undisputed would of happened by now if it wasn't for the Saudis. So I dont blame Usyk fully for this year, nor any of the main guys at HW.
Usyks just doing what they're all doing.Waiting it out. Fury, AJ, Wilder, and even damn Whytes trying to weasel into the mix (urgh).

Yes initially Fury wanted that but then made a concession and said scrap the rematch clause which Usyk refused. Fact is Usyk was going to get over $20 mil to fight Fury with no rematch clause but now he's getting $6 mil to fight Dubois.

Edit: sorry posting on my smartphone. The forum is not the most user-friendly at times.
On TalkSport it sounded very much like they were well beyond the 11th hour of negotiations and still arguing over rematch splits. So trying to remove the rematch clause a second time must have included one heck of a concession to rebuild good will.

Do you know what the concession was and when it was made? Like was team Usyk still negotiating at this point?

$6m actually sounds like a good pay day against Dubois, and a lot higher than many predicted after that dodgy fight against Lerena. Besides signing with Skills Challenge probably cushioned the blow.

I don’t find any of it suspicious, no.

Warren desperately wants the fight for his fighter.

Warren postponed the fight, as Dubois wasn’t ready.

The last that I heard, Warren was happy, where he was telling everyone that Dubois was going to shock the world.

It’s not fair, hence why there’s no fight.

He brings 2 belts, and 2 wins over AJ to the table.

Which means that he brings credibility and the chance for Tyson to become the undisputed HW champion.

It’s a legacy fight for Tyson.

Usyk is clearly the best other HW in the world.

If Tyson wasn’t bothered about the belts or the fight, he wouldn’t have negotiated in the first place.

    He’d also already be retired.

The reason he deserves more than 30%, is because this is obviously the 2nd biggest fight in the division, behind a Tyson- Joshua fight, in terms of PPV revenue.

So Usyk plays his part in that.

In no way whatsoever does Tyson deserve 70% of the split in a huge undisputed fight.

Due to his actions, his reputation has now taken a huge hit.

The sticking point was Tyson wanting a ridiculous 70%.

If Tyson hadn’t have demanded that, then Usyk obviously wouldn’t have wanted that specific rematch clause.

It was done to highlight how unreasonable Tyson had been.

The only fighter who should be stripped is that gutless 270lb giant chicken Belly Fury. The WBC should categorically strip him of his belt for his absolutely shameless ducking of King Usyk. The fact that coward even has a single fan left after doing everything in his power for this length of time to avoid Usyk is astonishing.

Now he's allegedly fighting MMA fighter Ngannou who is 0-0-0 as a boxer instead of facing Usyk for all the marbles in the fight the entire boxing world is and has been desperate to see for a while now.

Usyk signs with the Saudis to ensure Belly won't be able to wriggle out again and what does that cowardly ''real fighting con-man'' do? He wriggles out again

    Strip his ass now, Maurico.

Fury is the issue with the division, not Usyk.

Usyk isn't the one bending over themselves to find a reason not to fight. 70:30 was beyond fair. Clearly Usyk wants the fight. The fat fake gypsy is the one running scared.

Usyk didn’t want a rematch , Fury demanded and Usyk agreed , but then Fury came up with more bull and Usyk agreed again , that’s how it got into 70/30 , but that still wasn’t enough for Duck to sign.
I watched Usyk’s interview where he basically said he never had problems making fights happen , but Fury was totally unreasonable and he is certain Fury never even wanted to fight.
Usyk is right Fury is a clown.

Nothing ridiculous about it Joshua got over 70% himself against Usyk in the first fight. Also it wasn't the sticking point because Usyk agreed to it so let's keep to the FACTS. Usyk pulled away from the negotiations because he wanted a rematch clause and Fury did not. Simple as that.

Usyk agreed to give 50:50 to the beltless AJ in their second fight - did AJ deserve that money being an ex-champion? He should've got not that much more than what he gave to Usyk in their first fight which was in total something like 80:20. As for the rematch - whoever wanted it, at some point Fury announced he doesn't want one (I believe whoever wins the fight still owns a rematch to the other), but then it seems Usyk wanted one, while initially he claimed Fury put it in the contract. So it's mixed.
