Expecting corrupt organizations to make sense doesn’t make any sense either. Derevyanchenko at least looks like a legit fighter, and plenty on here have noticed, well before a few weeks ago.

Why would a champion allow himself to be stripped of his titles by a challenger who only has “ 12 fights”?

Regardless, the ABC's must adhere to their rules, even if we don't agree.

Why then did they duck Derevyanchenko and instead fight poor pathetic Martirosyan?

You can't fight 154lber who had never fought at 160 in his life instead of fighting your mandatory who only has 12 fights and then complain when you get stripped.

Yeah. That's why he intends to become a champion in his 13th and not the 3rd fight. ;)

The IBF regularly enforce their mandatories, unlike the WBC who make up the rules as they go along. I like GGG but he shouldn't get special treatment.

The good thing is that those lurking around for GGG's scraps might have to actually fight each other.

There's no minimum number of bouts' worth of experience to be a mandatory. Abel is talking out his ass.

A fighter can only fight so often. If there are much more lucrative fights out there and/or unification bouts, I get it. He would be fighting SD for pennies on the dollar, it’s a no-win proposition for GGG. Best case scenario is he beats SD for his lowest payday in years and gets less credit than Vanes from casuals because 95% never heard of him.

That would be true, if they actually did that with consistency. They so often broke their own rules regarding mandatories and this time they hard enforce it. Not playing conspiracy theorist but sounds fishy.
