I went back and watched Liston again. I'm not sure even Holmes and Ali's jabs quite match that. Even Foreman didn't step into it the way Liston did. That stepping-in aspect made Liston's reach even more indomitable. So, for bludgeoning effect I give the award to Foreman. But for both power and execution I give it to Liston. Overall effectiveness I have to give it to Holmes
Since everyone is fixated on the heavies, Pinky and Seldon both had jabs that are worth a mention. For light-heavies, Darius M had a wicked power jab.
Foreman was a beast when it came to the Jab. Pretty sure he could knock a tree down with that thing. In the WW division I don't think Hearns is mentioned enough when it comes to the jab. Very quick and very dangerous. Ali ofcourse had a devastating jab as well. His was based on speed a bit more than power but still a very hard jab. Bob Foster without a doubt should be mentioned in any conversation about the jab. The man had whips for arms.
Wlads, foreman’s, listons all stand out as the thudding destructive jabs for me. I think quartey as mentioned had an unbelievably good jab. Prime GGG had a brutal jab, heavy snappy and regular, a masterclass against Lemieux. Hearts was a great jabber to
