Sturm is perfectly happy defending his title against journeymen in Germany for modest purses.

I've heard some speculate that fight is what sent him down that path. Why get robbed again?

Sturm, Cris John, Zolt Erdey and a few other fighter are a joke to the sport. They only want fighters they can beat and get money enought to retire, they don't care about unifying or fighting the best. They don't have the heart or the desire to do that.

And you know what, if that is the case, I don't blame him. As Americans (not sure what you are), we find that because some of these guys don't come over that they are not for a reason when the simple fact of the matter is they make a **** ton of money over there anyway. I wanted Sturm to go global, but it doesn't appear it will happen. But either way, he will be rich.

Unfortunately that argument can be placed on other fighters as well. RJJ, Hopkins, etc... were all US fighters who didn't clean out the Euro contenders.

For every Lennox, Hagler, etc... that made it abundantly clear they were the man regardless of what nation an opponent is at, there are tons of other fighters, regardless of nation, that never left their comfort zone.

I'm in the states. I never saw the fight but EVERY opinion I have ever seen on this fight says it was a bad decision.

i think sturm is a punk and will never leave germany or fights anyone half decent, however before the 2nd abraham-miranda fight i had a similar opinion of AA.point is,it only takes 1 decent win, you're only as good as your last fight

why is that, cuz sturm got a taste of reality.. even if he clearly outboxes a well knowned american fighter, judges s-crewed him over... if i was sturm no way i'd ever take a fight again in the u.s. .. neutral ground if anything.

as far as the AA thing goes, maybe the promoters should offer him more money and see what he says??? i'd expect AA to win dont get me wrong im jus sayin.. could be the offer wasnt enough for him... it is a title for title bout.

I feel the same way you. I thought Sturm would step to King AA.

I have seen it twice. It was a bad decision. Not a robbery, but a clear, clear victory for Sturm.
