I have no sympathy for Jamie McDonnell at all as he's showed he's more interested in money than world titles.
McDonnell's plan didn't unfurl the way he and Hearn wanted, but now he can get back in line. Let's see if Hearn delivers him a world title on his own doorstep?

 

Generally speaking, promoters need to learn to work together and find a way to get past any "TV divide".

But in this case... Eddie Hearn tried to **** over Hobson. After doing that, of course Hobson probably isn't going to be too happy about sending over his world champ to fight on an Eddie Hearn show, giving an opportunity to the other guy that just ****** him over!

That's a fair point although Hobson did lambast the politics in the sport (which will always be there) in a recent iFilm interview. I like Hobson (seems to be a down to earth decent guy) and I'm glad that he now has a TV deal (a bit like Chris Sanigar and Hennessey).

McDonnell really showed what a snake he was with the Matchroom situation, Hobson spent a fortune on him. Fingers crossed he never wins it again, he doesn't deserve it.

 

Wasn't one of his issues with Hobson was that he only fought 3 times in around 2 years?

But yeah think Hobson said he sank 6 figures into that fight at the keepmoat, then again unless you have a watertight contract don't put that kind of money on the line for one of your guys....
