    Beg pardon, that was actually:

    Howard John Foster 116-111
    Eugene Grant 117-110
    David Hudson 117-110

Foster the infamous one had the best score of the evening's panel. :conf Go figure.

Bit of an unnecessary comment. The guy just became a world titlist by defeating a hard-as-nails multiple-time contender who may be getting on but has been around the block with top notch experience. He scored a knockdown and came very near stopping (and later gutted out a rally in response despite having maybe put too much into his efforts) a guy Leo Santa Cruz never managed to drop over twelve. He entertained a whole bunch of boxing fans in a way that few others have done in this calendar year - some would even say nonpareil.

He is the IBF bantamweight champion, in this 'what-have-you-done-for-me-lately' sport where you're as good as your latest form and current status.

What can Haskins and McDonnell currently boast, again? Oh, Haskins is British champ? McDonnell is toiling away in non-televised eight-rounders at bantamweight? That's cute. If they want to actually do something meaningful they can get in line and hope for a rematch and crack at Hall's belt. (not that either is guaranteed to snatch it from him just because they beat him once...McDonnell vs. Hall was close and he was a late replacement against Haskins...)
