Malinga is screwing the right jab into Hall's cut left eyebrow. Hall is flinching as he backs up and peters out his left jab. Hall sags into the ropes, unable to move anymore, needing a moment's respite. Malinga keeps the jab on him, advancing behind the high guard and physically ramming Hall across the ring. Hall stages a little rally, squatting and throwing big left hooks and slamming up top with as hard a right hand as he can muster. Hall keeps throwing! Malinga leans into him and blocks.

Malinga is jabbing as Hall comes forward and fires rapid-burst combos of straights and shoveling uppercuts, leaning in and tying up when done. Hall is busier, flapping his arms across Malinga's guard in between leaning clinches. Malinga shoves him off but is unable to summon any offense before Hall flies back inside with another flurry. Lead left by Malinga, sidestepped. Hall begins another combo but is caught by a flush right hook. Big right hook in the clinch by Malinga, shaking Hall off. Wild right uppercut by Hall, missing the head of Malinga by several inches. They exchange up close, both missing or glancing.

Too wide, but whatever. He fought like a champ (and was the better man on the night) against someone who did the same and deserves to be crowned as one.
