First and foremost i'm a J. Taylor fan, and that being said Ozell shouldn't let JT go out and get his brain bashed some more, but at this point it's all about the benjamins!! And Ward will definitely KO JT in my opinion, for those that say Ward can't punch, that's even worse for JT, it may be a prolonged beating!!! Jt was never a true super middle wt, just like Manny Steward said all along, he just never dedicated 100% of himself at middleweight!!
I don't think JT should fight again and I think Ward will win but I can't visualize how this fight will go. Ward is just nothing like Abraham (or Froch, Lacy or Pavlik.)
Heres the the Dilemma with JT as it stands right now. He just got KO and he knows hes houldn't fight again but hes up for a title shot !!!! Ward is not as dangerous as Abraham but Ward has good boxing skills. Right now i dont think JT wants to pass up a title shot and another payday. In my opinion i think he shouldn't fight no more but at the same time i cant blame him for wanting to fight for a title and getting paid doing so against an opponent who is not known for his power.
I don't see Ward as having the kind of style that would physically brutalize Jermain Taylor. Actually I think this is a doable and winnable fight for JT assumning he can turn out one more great performance. The smart money, however, is on Ward of course.
Exactly.... I love Jermain.. I want him to retire so he can live a healthy life in his later years. He is playing with FIRE by continuing to box.
The fact that JT plans to continue saddens me. After his last fight I made a long list of Jermain Taylor trade marks that we did see that night, and not one single person could dispute me. Taylor is shot to ****. I said I would not watch him fight anymore. However, I really want to see Ward against a guy who will make him pay for his bull**** tactics. Jermain will loose badly, but along the way he will teach that religious hypocrite how heads butts, elbows, and low blows feel when you're on the recieving end.
