Statistics can just be statistics and not tell the whole story.

I dunno man, the football (soccer) numbers are for Europe, football is practically every country in Europes national sport. In England at least I would say there is not a single person who doesn't play football at least once at school, and 70% are in competitive leagues outside of school. Boxing is never gonna be done at that level of participation simply because people jut don't want to get hurt. Let's be honest you're not gonna go to a boxing gym for enjoyment unless you know you have some natural talent (unless youre determined to learn) because no one is gonna have fun getting punched in the face. There's a risk you'll get hurt if you're not any good, unlike other sports. It's not a sport you can just do with your mates so obviously it's never going to be as widely participated in.

To be honest im surprised how small the percentage is for people who have boxed. Its only natural for young boys to want to fight so to actually learn how to and get fit with it it should be parents first option for there kids not football. Just my opinion though lads
