I like Legendary Nights, and I wish HBO would produce more episodes.

Everyone who they interviewed that wasn't named Sugar Ray Leonard was from the Hagler camp it seemed. Of course they're gonna say their man got robbed.

the de la hoya-trinidad legendary nights gave the impression that bob arum was a just and honest guy.

that same legendary nights also implied that oscar wasn't great because of the way he outclassed trinidad.

This is a good thread. I always felt Riddick Bowe got way overrated more than already was because of that show!

Bowe beat nobodys before he fought Holyfield 1 and he ducked lewis like a coward!

yeah they tried dramatize **** way too much by making very stupid comments like that. They claimed that the trinidad fight blew oscar's legacy which is BS.

Thomas hearns losing the hagler fight because he got a massage and broke his hand in round 1. I mean come on, Hearns is my favourite fighter of the fab 4 but he would lose to that hagler everytime, his chin was bad while hagler has an atg iron one, thats the reason he couldnt take haglers punches but hagler could take his huge right.

I know most of the interviews were from the Hagler camp, but Hagler did get robbed. If you disagree, you probably haven't watched the fight or you think points should be awarded for punches landed on forearms and elbows.

Leonard never had any intention of fighting Pryor, he could have & should have instead he fought Bruce Finch. After Stafford Leonard actually wanted to fight Pipino Cuevas & then retire, as the calls & demands were increasing in volume for him to fight Hagler especially seeing as he'd started the Hagler/leonard ball rolling by stating thats a challenge he'd relish. Pryor & Leonard would have been a superb match up IMO.

Sugar Ray Leonard and Lennox Lewis were the ultimate Chess players in boxing. the picked their matches very carefully, made sure they made the most money for it and left with there brains intact!

Ray handpicked to fight Marvin when he saw that Marvin was not as sharp as he was a few years earlier. He didnt rematch Hearns after the first fight know he would most likely lose, He took the fight way after for the money.

Lennox carefully picked his opponent as well at the right times. very careful boxer and calculating. He retires with the sound advice of his trainer manny, manny knew vitali had found his nitch and had the size and skill to overmatch Lennox. Manny has always said when you got a big guy with power and basic boxing skills he will always overmatch the the smaller guy. Lennox faced big men his size before but none did what Vitali did to him! none. Vitali could keep his hands low, and still land that jab at will and lennox and manny knew lenno dont have anything to comabat that. so he retired with a great legacy and "win".

Even besides that, there are the words from Pryor's own mouth that he was offered a Leonard fight.
