Stupidist thing you've ever heard a trainer say or do

    My old coach was a crazy french guy. He would only have us working on cardio and not technique on a Friday because, according to him;
    "nobody can learn anything on a Friday because they will forget it over the weekend"

    Readying all the weight losing how-to´s, would it not be better to drink water turning draining and go to the sauna before the weigh in. A lot of people say how they lost up to 5kg in weight in just one training session and when i ask them what did they do...all said they went to the sauna after the session.

    The only problem i see with this is if they aren't beginners.

    I mean i've seen some top level amatuer bouts and quite a few top guys do drop their guard, some people use that type of anti technique and it works for them so it would surely be stupid to forbid experimentation in the gym ?

    Also about the don't run don't spar. sure thats okay for some but for the bigger guys i would imagine swimming would be better cardio than running.

    it's stupid. unless you're cutting weight for a weigh in it serves no useful purpose because its just water weight and you will put it back on as soon as you drink after the workout. no sense in risking dehydrating people.
