I think a lot of fans, and probably Ortiz are in a bit of shock about what they saw. Because of stupid preconceptions about Mayweather.

    Trust me on this.

Any guy who goes into a boxing ring, with not only no fear, or apprehension, but an arrogance, and comes out of it, having beat the crap out of another human being, with a big smile on their face, is a vicious, born killerr, who'd ruthlessly hospitalize anyone who looked at them funny, if they could get away with it..................

Sorry, if you've boxed, you'd know anyone who goes into that environment, and not only enjoys the violence, but thrives on it, is wired a certain way.

Ortiz, and shocked fans, are just a bit guilty of buying into hype and media caricatures.

It's why they make the rule "defend yourself at all times".

As you're liable to get hurt, if you give your opponent even a slight opportunity to do real damage.

Floyd has about 6 pending charges against him, many for assault and battery, not including ones filed against him in the past by various women. His uncle roger has admitted to choking a woman, and took a plea to avoid jail time. His father was a convicted crack dealer. Floyd has had numerous well-dcoumented, on-camera emotional meltdowns, including during HBO interviews and post-fight press conferences, where he was sobbing uncontrollably.

He's an amazing, brilliant fighter, but to say such preconceptions about him and his actions are stupid is incredibly naive.
