Am I right in thinking Macklin has signed with Di Bella? If so, he's obviously gunning for Sergio Martinez. Nothing wrong with that. He can always pursue Sturm later.

In Boxing News this week Macklin said the rematch offer was rubbish. **** money and Sturm wanted shitloads of options.

So now Sturm is just putting this stuff out there to make it look like he pursued a rematch but Macklin wasn't interested.

Macklin dances to his own tune, that's for sure

Hmm wonder why Sturm's so desperate for a rematch to a fight he won :think

Presumably because some people say he did not win it, he feels he can win a rematch easily, Macklin has a good reputation (including in the US), so there is a lot of upside in a rematch for Sturm, from his point of view. He is running short of beatable named opponents who will travel to Germany, but has been champion for long enough that he might feel some pressure to step up the level of opposition.
