Sturm is a very real chance of beating Abraham or Pavlik

    Jaaaaaaaaaaaanz ruuuuuuhig.

You said his workrate has been so low in his recent fights because he's weight drained at middleweight. That's why I intended to point out that he didn't increase his workrate at 166 pounds.

Yep, that may be the case because he just familiarized himself so much with this style and is so comfortable with it that he has difficulties to fight another way - and I think he got powerhappy and just wayts for the one punch to knock his opponent out. But he won´tknock out everybody he faces so that is a weakness for him and a big one.

Don´t get me wrong I´m a fan of him but he has his weaknesses and I think a guy like Sturm has good chances to exploit them.

He'd have a chance against either but I'd still favor Abraham and Pavlik.

Same here. I'm also a big fan but I think that a slick B-level fighter can cause the upset and beat him. He had a hard time against Ayala before Ayala slowed down.
I don't think Sturm can avoid Abraham big shots for the entire twelve rounds. And if Abraham's starts to land bombs, the fight will be over very soon.

    Abe and Pavlik brutalize Sturm.

I may have been guilty of selling Sturm short at times but he just isnt that good and I think he would just get manhandled by both.

And Pavlik is good? hes an old school slugger mate. Who can't throw an uppercut or body shot.

The only question i have over Sturm, is if he wants it or not. Because if he does, the division could be his.

Depends what you think good is but in the wash he is a better middleweight then Sturm.

Pavlik showed a decent body attack againt Zertuche, Taylor I, Miranda, Bronco McKart, Lockett do you want me to go on?.
Clearly you havent seen those figths and probably have only seen him against Nard, who Sturm is nothing like in style or ability.

Believe me Im far from a Pavlik nuthugger and have copped my fair share of flak for doubting him in the past but Sturm...Sturm is just average, really no more, just actually watch some of his past fights for proof of this.

Both would be extremely competitive fights and great ones to watch. I have a feeling Abraham-Sturm would be very exciting because Sturm probably wins more rounds initially with his higher workrate, but when Arthur opens up, Sturm better be careful! And the man retains his power until the final bell as he proved recently with that one-punch KO uppercut in the 12th.

As for Pavlik vs Sturm, i'd favor Pavlik just a bit to win by decision. I think Sturm's lack of a good right hand might cost him over the long haul.

One thing is for sure though. Any two of these three fighters squaring off would be a huge fight for me, one of the best that can be made in boxing at the moment.

You can´t base anything on the Sylvester-fight. Sylvester is far away from worldclass. He is a decent fighter without a punch - and none did expect him trouble Sturm.
Hard punchers like Abraham and Pavlik could easily find a way to get tru Sturms high guard.

Abrahams drained at 160 and doesn't have as much power at that weight as everyone thinks (lately).

    Pavlik is one dimensional.

Actually, about everybody though Sylvester would trouble him, not beat but trouble him. Worldclass at the moment are only Abraham and Pavlik and borderline Sturm.

I don't rate any of those guys as opponents though man.

    All are limited.

Did Kelly go to the body against JT or BHOP? Because he will need to against Sturms tight defence.

Sturm has stamina problems and a fragile chin. IMO, he would get stopped against both Pavlik and Abraham,

From watching Abraham-Miranda 1 I'm skeptical if aa is the real deal or not.Sturm should have a good chance of outpointing him,but only if he is at his best and can avoid the ko.

Stamina problem? Where did that come from?
