Sturm is a very real chance of beating Abraham or Pavlik

Its not as if Sturm has been doing an Erdei. Sturm has fought every mandatory put in front of him.

If I'm correct (and I think I am), Pavlik made near to $3 million vs. B-Hop...

Spirit, maybe it was a robbery, but the fact remains that Sturm hasn't done anything that was overly impressive before that fight or since. I don't know if he'll make the same mistake with AA or KP he made with Castillejo, but it might not be up to him. Javier was a career 154 pounder who was not known for his power even at that weight. AA and KP obviously hit harder, and just because Felix chooses not to slug it out with them doesn't mean he won't get caught.

The only way I can make a prediction on a fight is by looking at who the fighters have beaten and how they have looked doing it. Going by that, I'd pick AA and KP to beat Sturm. That's not saying that FS isn't a good boxer, it's just that I don't think he's better than either of them head to head.

Yeop, I meant Arthur by KO, sorry for that.

That´s not a habit of Abraham that´s a tactic. He wants the other fighter to come to him, unload on his guard so he has openings to counter. That´s what I´m talking all along those two guys are actually each others nightmare stylewise. Pavlik has the tools to beat Abraham, he just won´t due to his defence and chin. I agree this fight won´t go the distance Abraham will knock Pavlik out. It may happen in the 12th round but it will happen.
Abraham was never hurt in his career despite getting hit flush by Miranda who has bigger one punch power than Pavlik. Pavlik has to hit Arthur consistently flush to KO him and for that Abraham´s defence is too good.

From Pavlik also who is in the same class as Sturm and Abraham but we won´t see that Winky anymore. He was inactive for too long, isn´t the youngest anymore and relies too much on workrate to be as good as he was then. He still will be good but he may drop fights to the best 160 pounders.

Well, there´s a difference between chin and recuperation ability. Also Pavlik was hurt more than one time and also knocked down. Taylor is also a much inferior puncher to Abraham and other than Miranda Abraham can punch from the backfoot.

I never thought much from Mundine and he is on decline whoch is visible when you look at hia last fights. His workrate dropped, his reflexes looked slower and his handspeed also seemed to have declined a bit. Mundine would get beaten by any of the other four top mws but would be a solid number 5.

Sturm never said he won´t fight Pavlik, he just doesn´t want a fight for low money against an unknown opponent in a country where he was robbed the last time he fought there. Quite understandable imo.
If the money is right he would fight Pavlik in Germany or in the US I think. He always talked about fighting in the US but he wants to fight for big money.

    Agreed.

That maybe his true feelings. I know quite a few guys who grew up under similar circumstances like Sturm and these guys are all very pride guys. That may have hurt his pride.

Sturm already had the fight one if he had did what Ottke has done in most of his fights he would stll have won and he would have been able to do so but well like I wrote ... pride.

Thing is, against Abraham Pavlik has to bow down a bit to punch the body and he´s quite open when he does so. That spells trouble for me.

Yep and I think that´s cool. Makes for some good fights.

    That´s true.

Yep, he still may get cought that´s why I pick both to win but like I wrote before I give Sturm about 40% against Abraham and 30% against Pavlik.

Castillejo is a very overlooked fighter. Top fighter for 10+ years, 2 weight beltholder, very experienced and even at age 40 still a top10 mw.

Well, Sturm is a boxer a technician, Pavlik is an accumulation puncher/pressure fighter and Abraham is a counterpuncher with huge power. Punchers always look more dominant in their wins than boxers. That´s not the right way to pick a winner in a fight. Look at the styles, abilities, strength and weaknesses and how they did against similar opponents you may have a clue of how a fight may look.

Pavlik knows how to use his height/reach advantage. He said he would work on shoulders/arms to break a guard and lower it.

He didn't show those skills against Hopkins. He walked forward looking clueless, and then whenever he did get into something like range he carried on plodding forward and smothered his own work. He judged distance poorly, its not always a matter of fighting tall and throwing a jab right hand.

He also didn't have a reach/height advantage in that fight.

Cool, which was the bigger fight Pavlik vs BHop or Sturm vs SS? Now, Pavlik gets nearly 3mill for BHop and Sturm gets over 2 mill for SS... tell me, why in the hell would Sturm fight on Pavlik's undercard some tomato can for less than 1mill (and that's if he's lucky!) when he just beat his mandatory for twice thrice that much?!
