    Just read that.
40% more money than in the first fight was not enough for Macklin.

He has signed for DiBella so will probably get more money for less chance of getting beaten.

Maclkin did beat him but it was close. They should definitely have a rematch so Sturm could not milk the title any more.

Was it ever on? Macklin was offered the fight a while ago but he never accepted.

Macklin won the first fight. He is absoluty right not to fight again.

They would robbed him the second time.

Sturm should be ashame of himself.

    Pity.

Who else is out there? (for Sturm, in terms of ranked contenders. Macklin will probably just slug it out at the deep end of the domestic pool if he doesn't get Martinez...ie that long overdue Barker match once Barker himself is disposed of by Maravilla)

I feel macklin knows that he would lose a rematch. Sturm dominated the latter stages of the fight, he figured out what he needed to do :(

I do feel macklin won the 1st fight by 1 round.

Well, both guys should get the benefit of the doubt in being able to adjust their strategy in a rematch. I think it would be close again.

    Very fair point :)

I think that macklin would learn to win rounds more clearly as well.

How did you score the fight?
