I would like to see this fight. I hope they get to an agreement. Abraham will beat Sturm and then he will get to Pavlik.

Has anyone actually thought that Sauerland is trying to get options on Sturm, and that Universum (and Sturm) want to remain independent?

This kind of bull**** happens all the time in Europe.......

True, British promoters are a prime example of this kind of behaviour. However, given that Universum is much bigger than Sauerland, there's no question that they would give away Sturm. They're just looking for more money because Sturm will most likely lose to Abraham.

British promoters such as Warren?

The continental fighters (i.e. non-British) are often content to hide behind a belt and meet their mandatory requirements rather than taking the risk and losing their belt - which is leverage to a decent living.

Sturm is probably worried incase he actually beats Abraham and the Pavlik fight is pushed through in the States - after being ripped off once previous, he may wish to stay at home.

    Who could blame him?

Sturm doesn't take tough fights since the DLH fiasco, only fights he should win...and that doesn't even always work out.

AA would have slaughtered Kohl's main fighter Sturm anyway! Guess that AA's promoter is no trying to make a deal with Pavlik.
2.500.000 € must be around 3.500.000$. I have no clue how much Pavlik has earned in his last few outing to the ring, but he may swallow the bait and glady accept such a generous offer.
And lets be honest we all probably prefer watching Pavlik square off against AA to watching AA knock out Sturm!

"Sturm scared Sh''less of Abraham; Universum turns down Sauerlands offer" Surely this is the only logical explanation.

really disappointing...and neither can make that much money with a Pavlik fight.
