Pirog is the WBO Champion and Golovkin is the WBA Regular Champion and they still can't get fights

HBO turned down a unification with Martinez and HBO and Showtime turned down a unification with Geale for Pirog

N'jikam gave up his WBA interm belt rather than unify with Golovkin and Sturm (WBA Super Champ) is trying to fight a voluntary against Zbik rather than his mandatory WBA unification with Golovkin. Golovkin's people may even try to file a protest with the WBA to prevent the Zbik fight and enforce Golovkin's mandatory status vs Sturm, hope they do.

    Agreed.

Hopefully Golovkin files a protest. Zbik is Sturm's 5th VOLUNTARY defense in a ****ing row

Sturm is a ****in disgrace. Lorenzo, Hearns, Macklin and Murray were all voluntary defences  and now Zbik, who bitched out of the Proksa fight to fight Sturm. German frauds let me tell you.

But I heard Golovkin-Njikam is close to being signed or what...do you know anything about this fight?

the purse bid was on the 2nd and N'jikam dropped his WBA interm belt rather than fight Gennady like i mentioned above.

Sadly, legal action looks like the only way Golovkin can force the WBA and Sturm to make this fight. Let's remember, until N'Kijam dropped his belt, the WBA had THREE champions at 160 - it's obvious they have no scruples and won't do the right thing unless they're forced to.

What exactly are Golovkin and Pirog supposed to do? They clearly aren't getting a shot at Martinez anytime soon and the other champions and top contenders show no interest in them. If HBO and Showtime don't even want fights like Pirog-Geale, it makes you realise that they're in a pretty tough spot. Are they relying on a young guy like Quillen to get in there with them?

I think the best we can hope for in the immediate future is to see GGG or Pirog fight Barker, Macklin, Murray or Lee.

Golovkin's manager just told me that the WBA's decision, whether it is going to allow Sturm vs Zbik, will be made next week. Let's keep our fingers crossed...

I'm thinking that if the WBA doesn't allow Sturm to fight Zbik, that Sturm will drop the belt. Not having the belt would probably have less effect on his income than having a humiliating beating by Golovkin.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a good fight?

Sturms there to be taken these days, his jab is definitely not what it once was

It's a decent fight if it wasn't Sturms 5th voluntary defense in a row :patsch

Every Champ has to face his mandatory some time but puppy Sturm is a punk german *****. I want to see him drop his paperbelt and publicly admit he is avoiding Golovkin :rofl
