If you get a chance to look at the replay, between rounds 2/3 or 3/4 Pavlik goes to blow his nose and there is like a foot of snot hanging. Boo, you should know, is bronchitis a viral or bacterial infection? If viral, the antibiotics would have had no effect on it.

Bronchitis can be caused by bacteria or a virus. And it does involve the production of excess mucus as well as difficulty breathing due to swollen bronchi in the throat.

If I had my way, we'd see a middleweight super-card:

    Pavlik/Abraham

    Wright/Sturm

How cool would that be! 4 world titles, 3 world titlists and a future hall of famer, all on one card!

3 months later the winners ( Pavlik and Winky) face off.

Disagree completely about Pavlik's chin. Watch the kd in the Taylor fight. Now, Taylor is no Earnie Shavers, but he has some pop, and he LOADS up on about 6-8 full power shots and it took that many for Pavlik to go down. If that isn't a chin I don't know what one is. The bigger worry that the chin is the fact that Pavlik lowered his hands, almost clowning, but he seems to have put the kibosh on that lately.

Sturm obviously thinks Pavlik is damaged goods after the disheartening performance against Hopkins.

I think Pavlik will pull it together though and come out with the decision after a relatively cautious fight.

You've got this partially correct. Taylor caught Pavlik with a blistering combo. Kelly was hurt, but he was not hurt bad until he dropped his hands and stuck his chin out to prove he wasn't hurt! JT was not done punching -- He caught Kelly with 15 unanswered shots -- 8 of them were smack on flush. Kelly went to his hands and knees, and was up at the count of 3.

That was round two. Emmanuel Steward described round 3 this way; "He came out like nothin' ever happened -- shakes his head -- like nothing ever happened. I said, we got a problem."

    The rest is history.

Fact: Miranda made Arthur Abraham look like something from a Stephen King novel.

Fact: Pavlik ate those same shots like they were ****ing Skittles!

There is nothing wrong with Pavlik's chin.

Sturm is a joke he don't want either Abraham or Pavlik, they metion Pavilk just to turn down Abraham, they will say the same when Pavlik's promoters offer him some money. Sturm has no heart and need to handle that belt to other fighters than have courage to unify or fight the best.

Pavlik's a completely different animal at 160 and could very well stop Sturm. As for Felix turning down the Abraham fight it doesn't come as much of a surprise. That would have really been a megafight in Germany but it's not as though Sturm is looking for an easier opponent. HBO could drum up visions of the DLH robbery and talk about how important the fight would be for Pavlik to regain his footing.

Good question. I just doubt it is serious on Sturm's part. He can't make the money fighting Pavlik that he could get from fighting AA.

I personally don't see Pavlik taking this fight just he needs to work on some things after the Hopkins lost but if double a offers Pav a fight I can't see him turning that down ..Its going to be interesting to see how the middleweight division shapes ip in 09 ..This is the step in the right direction .

    I fear so,too.

They mention Pavlik just to turn down Abraham and to justify their refusal to fight AA.
I for one dont think that STurm has no heart or is a ***** as some posters here have called him.
IMO he prefers fighting challengers and contenders for good money to facing either Pavlik or AA in a big payday losing his zero in his fight record.
In terms of moeny he may probably make more bucks defending his title on German soil than squaring off against either Pavlik or Sturm.I may be wrong of course.

Anyway! I bet my house that he will never face either of the aforementioned top dogs in his entire career!
