Sturm v Macklin - Who won?

Macklin macked Sturm like Sturm was a hoe on the street and he didn't have his pimp's money so he beat the **** out of him for 12 rounds.

I had Sturm winning 5 of the last six rounds and had him up by a point at the end.Close but no robbery.A terrifc fight which deserves a rematch-although I doubt Sturm will want one.

Sorry, landing 3 punches a round while getting laid into doesn't get you a win no matter what audio track is playing

 

I thought Sturm just wasn't doing enough, every time he'd land a clean shot Macklin would come back and land a multitude more. I scored it 115-113 Macklin and that was with bending over to give Sturm a few rounds.

Props to Sturm for saying he'd take the rematch, but I believe Mack got jobbed.

 

7-5 sturm he landed harder cleaner shots, especcially in the later rounds, I had them equal in round 10 then sturm won the last 2 hence 7-5.

Matt won the first 4 without question and likewise felix won the last 4. The middle 4 honestly could go either way I though two each was fair.

I had it a draw but what heart these two showed. A rematch would be fantastic!

 

On my scorecard I had Sturm winning 7 rounds to 5.

The problem I see with this fight - as well as many others - is that people are forming their opinion by looking at rounds 1-12 as a whole. In this case, then yes, I see why many would think Macklin won clearly.

But that's not how you score the fight, is it. Split the whole fight into 12 and score each round seperately, and you'll find that a Sturm victory is not out of the ordinary.

 

macklin won this fight, no doubt. but getting the decision in germany is pretty much impossible. they were never going to play fair.. we all knew this going in.

the work rate for macklin was good, while sturm picked his shots and was steady. 116-113 macklin.

oh, to all those that said macklin was going to lose every round or get knocked out..kiss my arse!

i knew he had a great chance going in, and would give his all... and that's what he did. great fight. shame about the decision though.

 

What maybe listen to some German techno drop a couple of E's that's the only way that fight could score different to me.
