What if Sturm had gotten the decision and had gotten the hopkins fight instead of oscar? Could he have pulled it off against the aging MW champ? My gut reaction is no because Bhop still had alot left at that point and is generally a higher class of fighter..... but his workrate at that weight had declined significantly since his peak in the late 90s and Sturm was not a fighter who gave many opportunites for counters and had a solid workrate, solid jab and could switch hit.
I think Sturm could of out jabbed Hopkins. But on the inside its a complete mismatch Hopkins would beat him up bad
