    The thread about tune ups gone wrong got me to thinking of this matchup. Let's Sturm gets the decision over Oscar and meets Hopkins in his next fight how does it pan out?

    Hopkins clear UD in a competitive affair.
    Sturm was a solid boxer, but not on that level.

    Hopkins by wide UD or late stoppage. All Sturm had was a jab and high guard. Hopkins would of had little to no trouble.

    Sadly, the edge lies with Hopkins in this one. Not to say Sturm couldn't win, but I'd be surprised if he did.

    Sturm was good but he was no Joe Calzaghe or Smith Jr.

    Most likely Gross Grill wins an ugly boring decision.

    sturm, calzaghe, smith,cannot contend with a prime hopkins, the evidence is there.

    a better matchup would be sturm vs cowazaghe
