Sturm vs Macklin ............. is Macklin out of his depth ??

If Koji Sato was out of his depth than Macklin has no ****in' chance.

 

Bear in mind that Sturm only takes on no hopers. He obviously doesn't rate Macklin himself.

 

I dont know how mack wins. I dissagree with the punchers chance, he is'nt a big puncher, asaikanen was caught cold and elcock needed about 30 shots to put him down and not out, who else has mack stretched ?? A little bit of everything macklin has, but apart from the heart and chin department it is'nt enough at this level. I dont think he has a high ring iq, you can see him unravelling bigtime when he does, he cant really adapt when it starts.I think if it had come earlier he would've done better. To many excuses hiding the fact that hes a little past it imo.......But again, fingers crossed for the lad, hope he does it

 

I reckon Macklin by stoppage. He raises his game and chases Sturm down the stretch for a stoppage victory. Macklin is woefully underrated because of his last two performances. He took on a nobody after Barker pulled out and was obviously deflated, and he took on Varon when he had the flu. He should have pulled out, but I think Frank wanted to keep the Birmingham fans happy what with Frankie Gavin's withdrawal from that card

 

Sturm's underrated because he now only fights in Germany. He is a classy boxer, definitely has too much for macklin I feel

 

Its not just that, bar avenging it he had an avoidable loss against Castellijo (essentially a JMW) and has took on a string of woeful contenders. Cult hero Koji Sato being arguably the worst title challenger in middleweight 'title' history, going by aesthetics anyway (as well as track record going in)

Of which he is about to add Macklin to the list. He has it cushty with the WBA, is popular in his home country and living off his 'loss' to De La Hoya.

He's there for the taking, but not by Macklin.

No he's not out his depth but I do think he's going to get beaten, probably by UD.

 

Macklin should of went after Sylvester before Geale got to him first. Picked the wrong opponent to fight in Germany. Sturm wide UD.

 

Macklin hasn't been able to pick anything! He's waited long enough for this chance, and couldn't risk turning down a voluntary challenge

 

He is totally out of his depth.

 

I think Macklin is in with a decent chance.
