Sturm vs Macklin ............. is Macklin out of his depth ??

    I used to rate Macklin but my faith is wearing very thin now.

    I like Macklin, but his last fight on the Khan Maidana undercard was ugly - maybe he's the sort of guy who raises his game for better opponents, but the years of change of promotion, change of trainer, dropping out of fights cant have helped

    Although Sturms best days of gone, I think he is still too slick, and beats Macklin by wide UD, the same way Barker would

    No he's not out of his depth. I'm saying this more because of Sturm than macklin of course. I get the impression anybody with a bit of grit and determination could ruffle Sturm's feathers. Look what happened against Castillejo who was the epitome of average but game and tough. Sturm is one paced has no power, low work-rate and questionable chin and stamina.

    Sturm is a horrible style match up for Macklin. Someone with such a great jab as Sturm's will give him huge problems. Very wide UD I would think. Macklin's only chance is landing a massive shot and stopping him. A puncher's chance is all I give him.
