Martinez was a shell of the man who beat Williams when he fought Chavez Jr....

When he fought Murray on that wet ring, he destroyed his body.

Even Sturm at this point would blast him outta there.

Martinez needs to crush a few cans then push for a Mayweather fight at 154. If needs retirement $$$$ that is.

Martinez doesn't deserve another dime if he was injured or shot and went ahead and fought on a PPV fight against Cotto.

I agree. If he has any pride he'll retire and save himself from further shame.

    Plenty of fighters fight injured.
MOF.....ppl soooooooo often overrate the nostalgia fighters of the pre70s b/c they often went into fights with bad knees/hands/cuts etc.

Only problem I have with what transpired 2 weeks ago, was that before the fight ppl....meaning the fans, thought Sergio was still the man to beat at MW......not Sergios fault.....he all but showed the entire world that he was shot when he fought Murray.

IF.....IF.....Sergio takes some lower level fights, has some wins, they I got no problem with him doing the Mosley tour padding ppls resumes.:good

He talked so much smack leading up to the fight. Also said, he was 100%. Which is why people thought he was still the old Sergio.

But I'm of the belief that he wasn't that far gone that night and that he was just in with a fighter who was a class better than him.

Sturm takes a punch Sergio doesn't..
Sturm is quite similar to Cotto, as one handed but a lot stronger and has been dangerous early in fight lately ..
The more i think about the more I consider it a mismatch actually
I mean as shown by Cotto all you've got to do to completely neutralize Martinez offense is to tack your right hand on your chin and don't give anything to counter for his left and hes helpless..
Sturm by KO in less than 5
Sergios chin is up with RJJs no way he'll last 12..

Maravilla has recently joined fellow great Mosley in the STS Club, shot to **** brotherhood.

He was once the best middleweight but now he needs to retire... Sturm would finish him earlier than Cotto.

sturm doesn't deserve a retirement fight against Martinez
he made a career out of not fighting the best in the division - let him end it the same way
