Mundine is fighting WBA #11 Shannon Taylor Wednesday with the winner to get a shot at Sturm.

Weigh in pix show Mundine looking great and not weight drained.

Both Sturm and Mundine camps have been in talks for a while regarding the circa 11th of July fight.

If Mundine can beat Taylor the who wins Mundine VS Sturm and why?.....thoughts?

Mundine is probably going to fight Danny Green at LHW, so I don't see the Sturm-Mundine fight happening anytime soon.

Yep but that fight is 1 year away mate....still plenty of time for sturm to face #1 contender in Mundine

The whole Mundine is kind of nuts :silly He has never fought at 160 yet is ranked number one at 160 by WBA, might be having problems making weight for his fight with Taylor, and is jumping up to 175 to fight Green After Tayor:patsch

I said when Mundine vacated 168 for Kessler without defending his title he had to have been promised a shot at the 160 title. This isn't hard to imagine is it? He probably thought Abraham and Pavlik would be moving up soon so decided to TRY and make 160.

Right on mate.....Mundine made weight and looks great...no weight drain....he is number 1 contender and in beating number 11 will give him first shot at Sturms title....july 11th I thought.

So who will win?...Mundine or Sturm?

Yes and its because he looks good...most people think he wont make 160.....I think he will show tonight against Taylor that he is fast and has ko power.

    Guess we will see tonight.

I think Mundines evasion skills and ring movement will help him get around the Sturm jab to set up his win on points

Sturm wins a close but deserved decision over Mundine imo. Mundine is nearly 34 yrs old, 160 is not Mundine's best fighting weight, the fight will probably be in Sturms backyard, Sturm has been fighting better opposition than Mundine recently, Sturm is equally as good a fighter as Mundine.
