Sturm vs Murray was...

Missed it. Heard it was a fraw. Who do you think deserved the nodd?

 

I missed this fight and im interested to what others had to hear about it. A Draw in Germany.. i was skeptic to see if it was a robbery

 

It was a robbery, but ironically this time Sturm was robbed. He clearly dominated Murray...

Kind of funny

 

I had sturm by a couple. Much better quality when he decided to throw. You need to be a bit more convincing with your shots if you want to dethrone a long standing champ.

I don't understand why strum doesn't work more. In both the macklin and Murray fighter, whenever he turned it on he looked like he could murder the pair of them. Being British I'm pleased with the decision though

Yeah Murray impressed me. Watt's commentary was bizarre as usual though. After being fairly neutral, if not biased for Sturm in the Macklin fight, yesterday he was falling completely in love with Murray.

 

Sturm won every goddamn round! Murray was not in any kind of visible trouble but he just lost every round in my opinion. In comparison to Sturm Murray looked soft handed from close distance. I think his "short sharp hooks" had no power what so ever. I with straights from longer distance and punches with some bigger swing he could have come up with something that could start taking bits and parts out of Sturm. But from the close distance where Sturm brought it lots of time Murray looked so soft and weak handed.

 

Draw was a fair result. Sturm looks good for the 10 seconds a round he actually does something, but for me he didn't do enough. I thought if Murray had nicked one of the early rounds he'd have won it.

 

I've only seen HLs, but from what I saw Chavez is looking better and better each fight he matures in that ring.

IMO.......as of now.....it's a pickum.:think

And of course the HL's were almost all Sturm, and from what I read, he didn't fight more than 1 min each round until the 8th.:scaredas:

I think Sturm is lucky that he got a draw and can now claim that he needs to rematch Murray, so that he doesn't need to fight Golovkin next.

 

I thought Sturm won but Murray fought a good fight, Sturm has great snap in his punches and had both Macklin and Murray out on their feet in the last round when he really went for it.

Should work more, that's my only complaint with him.

 

Sturm robbed of a win, that is a surprise.

 

No way could you score that a shut out. Even the most anti-murray card must have given Murray the 8th round??
