Yeahh! Judges are weird as ****, Macklin dominated him and got a loss. Murray did alright but Sturm clearly won for me and yet it's a draw.

I think Sturm edged this by a round or two. He bullied Murray around and I think Murray was clearly running out of gas.

Having said that.. Sturm supposedly is operating at world level and should have (!) blown away a 2nd tier guy like Murray clearly and easily, just like he should have blown away a nobody like Macklin.

But he didn't. In fact Sturm struggled with Murray, with his work rate and at times even was outboxed by a green Murray. That clearly shows how Sturm is not and never was a top fighter. He's a good decent holder but not a champ to be remembered in 10 years time.

Sooner or later Sturm's luck will run out and he will lose a decision against some nondescript nobody.

Sturm clearly won by a couple IMO, didn't think it was a particularly good fight just the occasional burst from Sturm and the occasional burst from Murray (hitting Sturm's gloves) which made it a bit interesting at times..

    :patsch :patsch :patsch

Your an idiot, it was a close fight that could have gone a point or 2 either way, I think Murray nicked it but a draw is a fair result. How can you have it a shut out when Sturm got a real beat down in the 8th.

    that's probably the case

I think Sturm won by 1 or 2 points but after the Gevor and Macklin robberies this is finally some kind of justice

Look, Sturm landed the more effective and telling shots throughout the fight, but they were sporadic, and Murray's output was sufficient enough to make the judges think that he was landing. At any rate, I thought a draw wasn't an outcry, but I thought Sturm actually edged.

Regarding potential fight w/ Chavez Jr, all I can say is that Sturm does throw some good hard combos which would give Chavez a reality check from the first round, but Sturm doesn't move enough to not be hit by someone wanting to hit him, so Chavez would be able to lay down some seriously signature body shots. I'd actually enjoying watching that fight.
