    If they are gunna do it again in Germany then there's really no ****ing point at all.
    You simply will not get a decision there so there's no use trying.

    If the rematch is only an option in Germany there is no point in macklin taking it

    Exactly, people (quite rightly too!!!) expect boxers to have morals of demi-gods or summat. The first thought of any boxer when a bout is mentioned is the pay check, then the risk. Sturm want no risk at all when he has a guaranteed £million's for each and every fight whilst he is champ in reality, he has shown to avoid showdowns such as Abraham in Germany so why would he change now in terms of taking fights.

    He knows Macklin won but will favour himself next time out due to the way the fight was ending, but he still wont push the fight imho. That's why Macklin should do the running should he want a re-match, the german press will help him and its upto Sturm to get found out or not.

    Does anyone know what deal Macklin is being offered.? I assume it is fairly shite or else he would have signed.

    Because Macklin brought so much to the first fight, and presuming Germany fans would want to see a bit more of these two in the ring, then I think Macklin has a right to expect a better deal than he got the first time.

    Maybe the Germans are being tight fisted with the money and writing silly contracts.

    When Sturm upped his work rate in the last round he nearly had him out of there. imo he will know to up his work rate earlier if the rematch happens and stop him. But hopefully I'm wrong.

    It was only a point or two....one round either way equates to a two point swing. 115-113, and 116-112x2 is a very close fight indeed, two rounds max

    Appears that Sturm has played this very well, agreed to a re-match immediately and looked the honest decent man then appears to make a crap offer that Macklin couldn't possibly sign. Not my words, here it us from the man himself... BTW - I love Macklin's response to the question at 3:17;
