Funny thing about Sam Soliman is when he is mentioned in oz media it's always small articles and rare, no one cares in Australia about him, he is a ok/decent fighter his awkwardness, speed and fitness and being his only strength..he is lucky he got 2nd pay day with strum coz he won't get one in Australia, he has no choice but to win, IMO he is a drug cheat who is lucky to get a 2 nd chance and pay no one else would of given him, but he is Aussie and I wish him all the best..

Assuming Sturm wins, he can then fight Macklin, Geale, and Murray again too. He can rematch the same set of guys he was busy with the last time he was uninterested in the top of the division.

    Juiced to the gills :patsch

You really think that was the difference between Sturm winning and losing do you?

Geale didn't test positive when he beat Sturm prior to the Soliman bout. Nor did Murray when he drew with Sturm prior to that.

Yes but Geale is a half-way decent boxer and Murray is very well schooled.
It is a pity that Soliman never got to learn the rudimentary basics of boxing, cos he has amazing physical abilities.

But a fit, motivated Sturm should see him off. Then revenge against Flapper Geale.

By the way - Sturm clearly beat Murray and that "draw" was a disgrace.
Sturm also was robbed against Geale but not as badly

its a complete garbage fight by a guy whose entire career was made avoiding the best fighters in his division. hes an embarrassment to former middleweight champions of the past

Sounds like you think Sturm won all 3 fights

He didn't win any of them. Time you accepted that.

Since you cant see that Sturm clearly beat Murray then its time you either wise up or give up watching boxing.
There are plenty of other 2-man sports you could follow - they're all pretty much the same you know...maybe you might get a better grasp of one of the others....;)

If anything you are right - Sturm "embarasses" the vast majority "former middleweight champions of the past" as you call them, through his being so superior to most of them.

Few if any reigned as long or were as consistent as him.
Most were long finished by age 35.
Sturm, a modern great would trouble most past greats and even beat quite a few of them.

    Who DO you admire then?

Leave it out Len. Loads of belt holders could have a similar claim to Felix if they took the path of least resistance all the time. In fact Quillin is doing his best Sturm impression as we speak.

Mr. Boxing knows his limitations and so keeps the charade going for a host of future paydays in Germany. I don't blame him for wanting to make as much money as possible by conning the public but I certainly don't have to like it.

    ^^^ This!

I cannot wonder how much money Sturm has made in his career? Fan or not he sure has done well for himself. Getting his title back against Barker sure opened the door for him to further pad his retirement account.
