Sturm has contract signed with RTL as I heard and promotes himself with his own group.

Universum time is over, they were really strong in 90s early 00s but now Sauerland is in Germany the only emperor

Bad move by Sturm. He would at list get a payday fighting Golokvin.
Now, without the belt, nobody will want to fight Sturm. High risk low reward.

Front page here too. Along with Winky thinking about signing with Top Rank if they will guarantee him a shot at Pavlik. I don't see this being a money fight for Pavlik though and not in his 'road map' as laid out by Loew. MW isn't getting any better.

Sturm is playing a high risk game. Letting his belt go, battling his promoter in court. Hope it works out well for him in the end.

Sturm said last year that he will under no circumstances ever fight under the Universum banner again. If he will be forced to fight under them he will simple relinquish his belt and retire. Not sure if he has lost his senses but it seems he's getting close to the letting go of the belt part. Let's see if he ever fights again.

Nah -- Sturm ain't scared a Golovkin. Sturm looked like crap against Gevor, but if he's in top form, he'd box circles around Golovkin. Sturm may think that a Pavlik fight is his ace in the hole, but who knows if that fight would even happen if Sturm didn't have the WBA title? I just hope it all gets resolved. Sturm has until July, and that is still 4 months off. Something needs to happen in the next two months.

If he doesnt fight Pavlik now that he is no longer shackled down by a belt I'll lose alot of respect.

Not for me....I was hoping Sturm would fight Pavlik or Sturm would vacate so my man Mundine would get a shot for the regular WBA strap

Sturm is irrelevant at 160 because he won't fight anybody. Pavlik shouldn't even waste his time with this clown. Golovkin would stop Sturm. These fake german champions are getting on my nerves.

He already walked away from his WBA strap instead of defending it. He doesn't deserve another one.
