Wanderlei Silva - has to start actively using his clinch game as much as possible. Even taking the fight to the ground and pushing the pace from there. He has the skills to do it. He doesn't have the skills to strike from the outisde in the open space of the octagon anymore imo. Tito - develop a solid weapon from the outside that will allow him to get into range without relying on a shot, which he doesn't have anymore. Arona should be someone he could look at in this way. He could train with some Judo players and learn a few more skills and subtle ways to get the fight to the mat; trips and throws will make him a much more dangerous fighter and allow him to utilize his great gnp. Most modern fighters are good at stuff avg takedowns, which is what a Tito with no knees has. Change it up. Arlovski - fight like a grappler. You've got a glass jaw, give it up.
i agree about tito I wish mark coleman would work on nothing but his conditioning before a fight. his gameplan never changes so he should at least give himself the best chance to implement it. i wish matt serra would slow down just a little. hes much better when hes methodical about things
Rampage - Slam some mother****ers!!!!!!! Koscheck - He needs to stop thinking he's all that when striking. He's fallen in love with it and paid the price. He needs to start wrestling again. It's what he's good at. Same goes for Rashad Evans.
Tito Ortiz - It may be too late now, but for the longest time Rogan wouldn't shut up about how great Tito's BJJ was and yet Tito never tried to use it at all. I think he might have done a bit better to incorporate a little judo and BJJ into his game. Hell, he's probably come to closest to beating Machida of anyone at this point, because of his BJJ. Then again, I think this about most wrestler based fighters. Ground and pound is all well and good, but Matt Hughes really showed how incorporating a good submission game can make you a GREAT fighter.
Anderson Silva - Stop shirking out of going to ground. OK, Thales Leites did shamelessly lie on the mat because he knew he had no chance of winning on his feet, and I suppose Silva had every right to resist as his advantage was greater standing up, but if Silva is one of the world's elite then I think he should have spared the fans that absolute stinker of a fight, and went to ground and proved he is a true all-rounder like Fedor or GSP, and beat Leites at his own game. Silva you have black belt in BJJ - use it!!
Yeah Tito should instead of trying to throw elbows from guard where its easier for his opponet to control his posture Tito should use his BJJ to pass the guard and gain mounts more often. Imagine his brutal GNP in a mount postion.
Sherk should stop thinking he is a boxer. Hamill should use his wrestling more Kos should mix it up more
Exactly. I think Tito would do best to ground fight exactly like Thiago Silva, who is probably my favorite ground fighter because of his style.
