Jenninings had some success because he was small and quick and moved side to side and he fought on this inside. Neither Wilder or Fury does that, they will stand in front Wladimir and will be hit much more. That being said i still think they can cause Klitschko some trouble and even catch him with a punch. But just because Jennings won 1-3 rounds, then it doesn't mean that Wilder or Fury will do the same, it is more likely that they will be eating Wlad's straight right hand for as long as they survive. :bbb
Fury has better footwork and is more fleet of foot then Jennings. Jennings is flat footed and his basic movement caused Wlad to be in effective in his punching. Furys angles , movement and switch hitting will befuddle Wlad. Wlad can't hit a moving target with a handful of salt.
Fury gets KO'd by Wlad and Wilder...he's not that good to be a threat to either. AJ would beat Furry soon if not already. AJ is the future of the division...at least shows far more promise than Fury. AJ should send a message to the Furrys and call out Hughie - bang him out and watch Dyson run scared. But Peter knows not to mess with AJ as he's the future and top brit prospect. They will want no part in him unless its for a cash out fight down the line when there's nothing better to take...after Furry's lost his title chance.
Yeah, so Wladimir somehow forgot how to snap and throw his right hand because of Jennings' great movement. Nop.
All last night showed me was something I always knew about Wladimir, if he's not allowed to clinch/hold for excessive periods of time, he looks very vulnerable in the ring. Makes me wonder if he stayed in the States the past 7 years and was fighting here regularly, if he'd get the same treatment as he gets when he fights in Germany. He clinches way too much, and as the great Harold Lederman stated yesterday right before the point deduction happened that Wladimir should've been warned for excessive holding since round 1. Think about that, if a ref actually warns Wladimir in round 1 for excessive holding, than we'd find out how good of a fighter he really is. I was always under the pretense he's been so dominant because he outweighs his opposition by 2 or 3 weightclasses on fight night and he essentially drains out his opposition by making it a hugging fest in there. I wish the ref warned him a bit earlier last night, it could've made things a lot more interesting. I don't think Jennings was that impressive, I just think the playing field evened up a good deal after Wladimir couldn't clinch anymore after the 9th round.
^^ Maybe, but Wilder & Fury are no inside fighters, they will be there and Wladimir can unload his Steelhammer more often and with Fury & Wilder's chin being suspect, this could end quick. But at the same time if Fury or Wilder catches Wlad clean, we might have the upset of the century.
