Style wise, Marquez poses more danger to Manny than Floyd!

this. too strong, too fast, too good above 135. it would be like floyd vs. marquez only much shorter and much more brutal. i don't even want to see marquez fight pac again. actually, i don't want to see ever fight above 135 again. he looked awful against floyd.

I've been saying this for awhile, while I'm not sure if Marquez is a worse style disadvantage I do think he brings attributes that Floyd doesn't. Taking chances and standing toe to toe were important ones. But Floyd fans seems to ignore that.

Why are people getting attached with the JMM of now, and not trying to grasp the OP's point? He's talking about the guy that fought Pac twice. Not Marquez at 147.

 

:good Floyd has shown the ability to adjust in a tough fight whereas Pac has not. Im not saying Pac is a bad fighter because of this, but he sticks to his gameplan and we have not yet seen him do a spectacular adjustment (i.e. Pac-JMM2)

 

pac's weakness is someone who fights back. look at jmm throwing punches while pac is on the attack, it slowed down pac.

 

IMO, Pac's weakness is someone who fights patiently, is a moving target, and someone who is good at countering and someone who knows when to press the attack.

 

I'm gonna guess you mean the 130 lb Marquez that fought Pac at the time is more of a threat than the 147lb Floyd that will hopefully fight Pac... If so, I can definitely see your point... Merely based off Marquez power and combination punching at 130...

What a load of ****!!! the worst thing you can do against pac is fight him, so cotto, hatton, and diaz found out. hes mega strong and for every 3 punches you throw, he throws 5 so you cant beat him toe-2-toe. he has had the most trouble against marquez because he is a great boxer. the best way to defeat pac is to not allow him to land his combos. nobody poses more threat to pac than floyd does because of this. pacquiaos power, i mean his true power, comes from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th punches in a combo. back up, let him miss with the 2nd or 3rd shot and then smash him with a combo of your own and move away again. floyds style is perfect!!!!

if manny somehow fights marquez again, it will end before the 8th.

 

i agree that floyd has to be more aggressive. marquez is an excellent aggressive counter-puncher and that's the blueprint for beating pac since marquez and floyd are both technically superior fighters.

the bottom line in this fight is who wins between and great boxer and a great fighter.

 

Not like Marquez did... I just don't see Floyd engaging like marquez has in his two fights with him , he might pot shot the **** out of him but that's about it, and if manny can hurt Floyd like mosley did he is going for the kill...

 

Floyds biggest threat is his unbeatable persona... He has a rep and lives by it.. Pac knows what a champion is, he's fought and beaten them in their best.. He's moved up and carried weight effectively, it ain't hard to tell....
