Styles make fights:Hopkins vs. Dawson 2

I'm not a fan, but I dont hate Hopkins.

I'm on record stating I'll be here to grant him his props if he should legitamately beat Dawson.

Will you be if Hopkins should quit or get embarrassed is my question mark?

 

Of course, I follow Chad's career and Cloud's career as well and I'm very interested in the SMWs meeting the LHWTs.

If you say you will be here then you know what we r gonna call you if you don't come... Anyway, good that you stated that but I doubt you are neutral concerning Hopkins based on your perspectives.

Emabarrassed? Let me tell you what... Hopkins has an history of turning against judges in Vegas such as now unofficial Showtime judge and scorer Chuck Giampa who cost him at least two decisions, one against Taylor and another against Calzaghe. Dawson also went against the Canadian ref when he was headbutted but they were not embarrassed. Now, the people who have called a 9th round TKO for Dawson or Hopkins quitting should be the ones embarrased. I mean you are already sayin that if he wins legitimately you will give him props. Bye bye, fly fly.

 

Dawson is just a bad style match up for Hopkins add Dawson's size and youth and it spells disaster for Hopkins at this point. I hate to say it but Hopkins is going to get beat up on Saturday.

 

I loved how Cal brought so many welsh guys to see him hit the deck in the first time he had Hop on the ropes.And then Joe killing flies like my cats do and being busted up on the fast counter :yep Kelly brough all those guys from Youngstown to AC to do better than Calzaghe did and they were shouting 9th round, 9th round, 9th round! The guy is old, Kelly was too strong at 160 against taylor and Taylor was too strong against Hop at 160. Hop is old and can't fight 12-3 minutes rounds. :rofl And let's not forget the end of that 4th round after our dear friend RJJ had rabbit punched Hop, even one of his sons got in the ring :nut

The judges have always given Hopkins a fair shake. He lost both those Taylor fights having a next to zero workrate in so many of those rounds.

Calzaghe outhustled Hopkins, he beat him on sheer workrate.
Hopkins clean connects were too few and far between to merit giving him rounds over Calzaghe who was connecting and busy throughout.


There are alot of fans who are of the opinion that Winky beat Hopkins, I'm not one of them. I thought Hopkins clearly and comfortably beat Winky by landing the crisper harder shots on a much more consistent basis than he landed vs Calzaghe.
In contrast Winky was just in a turtle shell and his shots were only pushed foward with next to zero snap behind them.
If I were a Hopkins hater you would think I'd have had Winky beating him.

i agree that both taylor fights(hbo house fighter) and the calzaghe fight couldve gone against bernard. right now, my book has b-hop at +320 and dawson at -410. yet the draw, which is normally at around+1600 to +1800 is at +1200 and the over under is at -280 1:30 of 12th round.

what this tells you is that vegas is expecting a 12-round fight and a close fight indicative of the short odds on the draw.

-410 is absolutely horrible and only the idiot esb bloggers, the vast majority that know nothing about boxing, are spewing a dawson ko/tko or total domination.

these are the idiots that built las vegas.

 

Hopkins is about to beat the two top rated young LHWs for the WBC LHWT belt and not just beat Hopkins and Jones Jr and retire as a Ring mag linear LHWT Champ. That's why some guys on the other side of the pond don't want Hopkins to do it!

Chad wants Nard on the ropes to work on him just like JT pushed him there rather than drive there with a clean right that had everybody on their feet including DiBella and in my opinion that was the moment judges started scoring 4 the challenger. But if the ref of Khan Petersn was there, JT would have been deducted a point...
